Wow, that hurts.

So, thanks to our south friends, I know have been throughly exposed to all joy that is wii. Thanks guys! And now i've either had a heart attack or a stroke or wii bowling has completly pinched every nerve in my left shoulder/neck/back of head. not so fun. well, im 35 and really overweight, so althought the heart attack and stroke thing is possible, the 35 years of complete inactivity makes the strain more probable. My friend cherry just got a way cool new workout and fitness regimen that will hopefully motivate me not to be such a fat lazy slob. Cherry and my wife Deedle have been using the turbojam product with great success in the past, and with the introduction of weight training to completely demoralize you with how out of shape you are i can no longer resist the urge to do something for the benefit of my wife and kids. We are all working on editing ourselves in various ways, and for too long i've neglected physically. So, hopefully i will be able to take my favorite pain masker excederine migrane until my current neck pinch eases up, and then get started trying to get back to what i weighed 13 years ago, before i got married. I was never really fit, but at least i wasn't so obese. When I met Dee i was right around 200 pounds at 6 foot 3 tall, and although it was fat weight not muscle weight, over the course of the years i've put on about 100 pounds on top of that. So thats what i want to get back to. Plus, not being so fat, i look taller, not rounder, so i would like that too. alright, typical subject to go to when writing to yourself on the intertubes is now over.

Hows it feel?

So, how's it feel to be trying to figure out which bill to pay? Don't tell me it's not designed to work this way. It works far too well. You just (probably) aren't willing to play ball the way you need to to fully benefit from this corruption.

OK, I'M SORRY

contrary to my blog title, i don't shut up. so anyway, i just saw this and thought it was typical/funny. November 12, 2008. It's the last night launch of the Space Shuttle that they are retiring the program so we were going to drive over to the coast to see it. We were going to pick up my sister at the airport on the way, but thats her story not mine. So we get on the "BeachLine Expressway" and immediately get stuck in traffic of everyone else doing the exact same thing. We drive over as far as the exit for the "Mid Florida Reception Center (as in "a prison" i think) and pull off because theres no way we will make it all the way to the coast in time. we park and get the kids out and get the camera set up on a tripod and i get my great picture of the launch:

Which, although the launching shuttle screaming heavenward, pushing away is in frame, you can plainly tell that I thought the street light was the Shuttle. _Pausing for Applause_ It was fun though, with wife and kids, and then we went to the airport to pick up my sister. And the orlando airport stunk. If you note the date and search the twitter timeline, you will see my comment to that effect. Heres another picture for you, note the wise choice of powerlines to add dramatic tension. Tension. I slay.

Ok, now i found one thats even worse. No shuttle in sight, me trying to track the tripod to keep it in shot and i took two or three choice light portraits.

kraftwerk

if you like kraftwerk, and you played video games in the 80's, check out the album called . . .

I saw it first on a pandora play on my kraftwerk station. check out the sample of it courtesy of amazon on the left over there. ive got a bunch of crap over there, its over there somewhere. hit play.

It is a collection of music in the 8-bit old nes style of music, but its kraftwerk songs, and it got me through a few days of work a couple months back, good stuff! me recommended. if you're nice, the next time you see me i will play you some off of my phone.

Beer School The Best Part About Beer School is . . .

How have I not mentioned it yet?  Everytime i'm around anyone and the conversation turns to beer i say "have you ever listened to beer school?"  So anyway, months ago i was trolling for podcasts to listen to on itunes , and along with a really good podcast about the history of the byzantine empire told through several of the emporors, i stumbled upon beer school.

You can also just go to their own corner of the intertubes to get their whole catalog of shows.  Listen to them in order, thats what i chose to do, and it helps with the references.  Especially you will be lost in the thousands of references if you dont listen to "Rock Star Bartender" very early on.  For the most part theres not much swearing, they used to (and may still) try to keep it so you can listen to it at work, but as of late, since the old shows have almost no profanity (except for rock star bartender episode) it seems to have crept up a bit.

but anyway (end transistion from ramble) , besides that, i really enjoy the show since it made me think more about why i like what i like, and what it is i taste when i drink beer.  they are out of san francisco, so that whole beer scene is um, slightly more developed that say, kissimmee, but its still a good listen.  Check them out, john foster and motor at http://www.beerschool.com.

old pics

this is from 12/05/2005 when we went to the zoo somewhere (??) with connie and amyas and briona.

and these are from seeing They Might Be Giants at the House of Blues, Downtown Disney March 13, 2008 in the 9 o clock hour. Flans said he was sick, high on over the counter cold meds, and would be reading about the concert via everyones blogs the following day. It was a good time, but it took nine months to comment on, through no fault of their own.

i just made hummus

i had to make the tahini too, thanks winn dixie. i got 1/2 cup of sesame seeds for 4 bucks. i think the hummus turned out ok, i cant really tell for a variety of reasons, mostly concerning the fact i haven't really had much up till this point, outside my own.

My sister

I'm looking through some old albums from my mom getting ready for a yard sale and wondering why my sister wrote her and my names on the back of so many of them?

Princess Bride

If you liked the cubeecraft foldables post from the other day, check this out if you are also a fan of the "Princess Bride"
