tripod yes. fireworks setting cause that makes the shutter stay open two seconds. i have a night sky setting but the minimum that stays open is 15 seconds, and there was still a lot of other light out. i also turn on a two second timer so that it waits after i press the shutter for any vibration to go away.

Those are awesome. Tripod? Timed setting? I can never get a good shot like that. Grrrr...
